This sculpture was used as a learning experience. Throughout the process I learned how to work with a hard sculpting wax for the first time. I found a recipe for a toy sculpting wax online, and decided I would give it a shot at making my own wax. Overall, everything turned out pretty okay for my first experience. Of course there is always room to improve, and I hope to continue experimenting with wax as a medium for sculpture.
The first image on this post is of a 3D model, done after the wax sculpture was roughly completed. These models were beneficial for doing quick color studies, and for possible future 3D printing.
