This sculpture is still in the process of being completed. The sculpture was used for a open illustration project. I have been experimenting around with sculpture more lately and learning some new techniques. In the spare time that I have, I am working on adding poster designs to place on the windows of the sculpture, and more detail is being added to the overall design. I plan on adding piping to the building as well as a AC unit for the top of the roof. This might help break the shapes up a bit more. An updated version will be posted soon.
I created this typeface/logo for the signage on this project. It was first drawn out with pencil and paper, and later brought into the computer where it was vectorized in Adobe Illustrator. I then took the vector file and laser cut the type out of a piece of plywood. Clear gloss resin was poured in between the letters to hold them in place, along with the other elements of the sign. More detailing was done to further capture the sign's wooden appearance at a miniature scale.
